That support has already come from U.S. Rep. Barney Frank, D-Mass., who addressed the crowd prior to Flanagan’s inaugural address.
Frank, touting a relationship already being built by the two, committed to making Flanagan’s job a little easier by working to bring commuter rail to the city and eliminating the threat of an LNG terminal. Frank also promised to work to bring financial relief to the cities and towns in his district and said he was looking forward to a promising future for Fall River under Flanagan.
