National Grid has named the former head of a California power company to its board of directors.
Tom King will formally join the board next month, according to a statement from the utility, which serves much of Western New York. It has nearly 4 million customers in New York, Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Rhode Island.
King was most recently CEO of Pacific Gas and Electric Co. in California, which is one of the largest investor-owned gas and electric utilities in the United States.
