Attention UWUA Engineers

Please allow us to congratulate you on your decision to join together and sign on with the UWUA.  It is time to move forward and negotiate a contract that you can all be proud of.  Before we embark on this challenging journey we must first make some decisions.  In an effort to tackle these decisions we are holding a meeting immediately following the New Year week.

At the meeting we will discuss:

• How many sub-committees will be required?
• Who and how many will be on the Bargaining Committee?
• Who and how many will be on the sub-committees?
• The collective bargaining process, including contract proposals.
• Do we need a Steering Committee?
• Question and Answer period.

We have much work to do if we are going to be successful in negotiations.  It will take the effort of the entire Engineering group as well as the solidarity and unity of all the other union members.  We are confident that we will be successful and we want all of you to know we will do everything in our power to bring a successful conclusion to these negotiations.
